Description

Treasures lie within.

Construction of the Church of St. Thomas Aquinas began in 1682 based on plans by Pierre Bullet. It is built on the former chapel of the novitiate general of the Dominicans. The facade of the Jesuit-style church was raised in 1766.

The church contains impressive Dominican treasures that will satisfy the curious: the great François-Henri Cliquot organ, which was inaugurated in 1771, several seventeenth and eighteenth century paintings, and a beautiful painted ceiling in the chapel apse by Lemoyne.
