At the Stade de France, the Bataclan, in the cafes and restaurants of Paris... on Friday 13th November, terrorists killed and wounded many innocent people. And in doing so, they also aimed also to kill these places that we love, places which represent culture and a spirit of sharing.
We at WorldEventListings share the grief of the friends and families of the victims of the terrorist attacks of 13th November 2015. And we offer our unconditional support to all the cultural venues affected.
Our raison d'être has always been to share cultural information with as many people as possible. We will continue. We will win. Their failure is only a matter of time.

Description

Playful art in a building which bears the scars of Berlin's history.

Built by the Nazis in 1942 as a grand air raid shelter, the Bunker is a Berlin landmark. The building was bought by Christian Boros in 2003 and was adapted as an exhibition space in order to house part of his collection of contemporary art.

In 2008, the Boros Collection opened as a permanent exhibition at the Bunker. Only part of the collection can be displayed at one time: you can see around 200 of the 500 or so works by international artists such as Damien Hirst, Olafur Eliasson, Elizabeth Peyton, Wolfgang Tillmans, Anselm Reyle, Manfred Pernice, Tobias Rehberger and Sarah Lucas.

The first display (2008-2012) focused on works which refer to space and light and which interact with their surroundings, such as Olafur Eliasson's work entitled "Berlin Colour Sphere", a giant ball of coloured glass, lit from the inside. Another of Eliasson's works features an electric fan on a long cable, swinging in a pattern which is affected by the movement of visitors around it.

With a rehang scheduled for autumn 2012, we can expect a new, but equally quirky and playful wander through the contemporary art world.
